1960'sWarnell and Juanita Denmark started selling furniture out of what used to be a small general and grocery store located on the main street of the little town of Brooklet in southeast Georgia. Denmark Furniture Mart was born. 1970'sAs the company grew, the Denmark’s recognized the need to provide more and more selection. Additional brand name furniture lines were added along with accessories and bedding all offered at discount prices. 1980'sWith a larger and larger loyal customer base developing due to the great selection and great service, there was only one thing to do; add more of what everyone was coming to see. Denmark Furniture Mart took over more and more of their little town of Brooklet until most of the buildings there became showrooms housing all brand name furniture, accessories and bedding. 1990'sDenmark Furniture Mart grew to include over 100,000 square feet of showroom space. Warnell and Juanita however, have continued to run the company in the same style as when it first started; as a family-owned business with great customer service that includes delivering purchases for their customers within the designated delivery area.
2000'sIn a bold move, the Denmark’s decided to open a large Lane Showcase Gallery within Denmark Furniture Mart. With Lane a household name synonymous with quality, affordability and style, shoppers need to look no further to find the selections they need at a price they can afford.
TodayToday Denmark Furniture Mart is considered the largest furniture store in Southeast Georgia. Gary and Laurie Denmark are now continuing the family tradition of running the store. Many of their sales people have stayed with them over the years as well, some for over 25 years and counting. |
